Our Team

Vlada Knowlton (Director, Writer, Producer) Vlada makes films and music videos. Her first documentary feature, “Having It All”, was selected by Washington’s PBS station, KCTS9, as the anchor program for its “Women Who Inspire” series in August, 2015, and went on to also be broadcast by Oregon Public Broadcasting. Its online premiere, presented by the organizations Flexjobs and 1 Million For Work Flexibility, was a press-covered event that included a panel discussion with Kelly Wallace of CNN. Her current documentary, “The Most Dangerous Year”, was awarded the Professional Grant from Women in Film Seattle. Prior to becoming a filmmaker Vlada worked at Microsoft. She holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from McGill University and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from Brown University.

Ilona Rossman Ho (Producer) is an Emmy award winning producer and independent filmmaker. She produces and directs short films, music videos and documentaries via her production company, Canine Productions. She is on the Board of Directors for Women in Film/Seattle, and was the interim Executive Director of Reel Grrls; both organizations that support girls and women in media.

Cathy Wadley (Editor) is an editor and producer with over two decades of professional experience in the film, video and multimedia industries. She has worked for video production companies, KIRO-TV (CBS), corporate in-house post-production facilities, and non-profit organizations, editing projects in all genres. Cathy has served on the boards of 911 Media Arts Center and Women in Film/Seattle, and has worked as a mentor for Reel Grrls.

Chadd Knowlton (Composer, Sound Editor, Producer) Chadd is a composer, musician and sound editor. He wrote the music score and edited the sound for the feature documentary Having It All, which was broadcast by Washington’s KCTS9 and Oregon Public Broadcasting. In his spare time he is also an executive at Microsoft where he is best known for leading innovations in digital media.

Tess Martin (Animator) is an independent animator who works with cut-outs, ink, paint, sand, or objects. She makes short films as well as making animation for other people’s projects. Her films have displayed at galleries as well as festivals worldwide. Tess also curates short film programs, and has toured with two selections of animated films from Seattle, where she still has close ties. Tess is currently based in the Netherlands where she organizes regular animation events.
